Chris: - So, the truth is… I was arrested for failure to pay parking tickets.

Jay: - Parking tickets? What?
Multas de estacionamento? O que?

Chris: - And I ran all the way here from the Polk Station, the police station.

Boss: - What were you doing before you were arrested?

Chris: - I was painting my apartment.
Eu estava pintando meu apartamento.

Boss: - Is it dry now?
Está seco agora?

Chris: - I hope so.
Eu espero que sim.

Boss: - Jay says you're pretty determined.

Jay: - He's been waiting outside in front of the building with some 40 pound Gizmo for over a month.

Boss: - He said you're smart!
Ele disse que você é inteligente!

Chris: - Well, I like to think so.
Bem, eu gosto de pensar que sim.

Boss: - And you want to learn this business?
E você quer aprender esse negócio?

Chris: - Yes, sir, I wanna learn this business.
Sim, senhor, eu quero aprender esse negócio.

Boss: - Have you already started learning on your own?
Você já começou aprender por conta própria?

Chris: - Absolutely.
Com certeza.

Boss: - Jay?
Jay?

Jay: - Yes, sir.
Sim, senhor.

Boss: - How many times have you seen Chris?
Quantas vezes você viu o chris?

Jay: - I don't know. One too many, I apparently.
Eu não sei. Muitas, aparentemente.

Boss: - Was he ever dressed like this?
Ele alguma vez estava vestido desse jeito?

Jay: - No. No. Jacket and tie.
Não. Não. Blazer e gravata.

Boss: - First in your class in school? High school?
Primeiro na sua sala na escola? Ensino médio?

Chris: - Yes, sir.
Sim, senhor.

Boss: - How many in the class?
Quantos na sala?

Chris: - Twelve. It was a small town.
Doze. Era uma cidade pequena.

Boss: - I'll say…
Entendo…

Chris: - But I was also first in my radar class… in the Navy, and that was a class of twenty. Can I say something? I'm the type of person… if you ask me a question, and I don't know the answer… I'm gonna tell you that I don't know. But I bet you what. I know how to find the answer and I will find the answer. Is that fair enough?

Boss: - Chris. What would you say if a guy walked in for an interview without a shirt on… and I hired him? What would you say?
Chris.

Chris: - He must've had on some really nice pants.
